Varnish Software a finalist for the Red Herring Europe Top 100 Awards

The Varnish team is thrilled to announce that we are among the finalists for the 2013 Red Herring Europe Top 100 awards!

From several hundred candidates across Europe the Red Herring editorial team selects the most cutting edge, innovative companies as finalists. We feel honored to be a part of this fine group of finalists.

How are finalists selected?

Finalists for the Red Herring top 100 Europe award are selected based on technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health as well as other factors. During the months leading up to the announcement, hundreds of companies from within software, hardware, telecommunications, security, clean tech, biotech, mobile, internet and other industries completed their submissions to qualify for the award. The list of finalists is generally regarded as a valuable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry.

"This year was rewarding, beyond all expectations" said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. "The global economic situation has abated and there are many great companies producing really innovative and amazing products. We had a very difficult time narrowing the pool and selecting the finalists. Varnish Software shows great promise and therefore deserves to be among the finalists. Now we’re faced with the difficult task of selecting the Top 100 winners of Red Herring Europe. We know that the 2013 crop will grow into some amazing companies that are sure to make an impact."

When are the winners announced?

Varnish Software will get the opportunity to present the company, its team and track record at the Red Herring Europe Forum in Amsterdam in April. The Top 100 winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on the eve of April 10th.
