New e-learning course: more advanced knowledge with Varnish Essentials

One of the greatest conveniences of the modern age is that we can do our shopping, our research, our communications, our planning and organizing, our dating, our keeping-up-with-current-events and our learning - or anything we can imagine - online. If you are already familiar with Varnish Software, you know that Varnish solutions are one component that enables these conveniences. It stands to reason, then, that we would also want to help you advance your knowledge of Varnish with more online goodies. The beauty of this is, you can study in your own time, at your own pace and almost immediately use what you learn.

Last year we introduced our first e-learning course, Getting started with Varnish, which provided a solid overview of how to - just as the name suggests - get started with installing and configuring Varnish in order to take advantage of the performance and reliability gains that Varnish offers. (You can still enroll and take the Getting started course free of charge.)

Expanding on the offering, we are happy to introduce our latest e-learning course, Varnish Essentials, that takes you on a more advanced journey through some of the more complex ways you can use Varnish to optimize and fine tune your Varnish experience for high-performance content delivery. Still a self-paced course, you get the chance to dig in more deeply to what Varnish offers.

The course will help you explore complex ways you can use Varnish to optimize and fine tune your Varnish experience for high-performance content delivery, and dive into some of the following topics (and more):

  • How to configure backends
  • Varnish Configuration Language, VCL, the key to Varnish flexibility
  • Subroutines

Take note: The regular price for this course is 300 USD, but as an introductory offer for the month of August only, we’re offering a 50% discount. Use discount code VE17 when you sign up to take advantage of this campaign. This offer ends August 31st, 2017.

Upon course completion, we offer an assessment to certify your more advanced level of Varnish competence.
