French leading e-commerce Player speaks in London

    • We're thrilled to announce that CDiscount will share the story of what's behind their website success at the next Varnish Summit in London on 26th November 2016!

    If you haven't heard of CDiscount, know that it's one of the leading e-commerce players in France for online retail with activities in several European countries, South America and Asia.

    With over 19 online orders every 10 seconds, the company is relying on Varnish Plus to meet their needs. Olivier Foing, Technical Architect at Cdiscount, will share how they improved response times and how they introduced Varnish High Availability and Massive Storage Engine in their architecture to increase cache efficiency and resiliency.

    About the speaker

    A true veteran of France's number one e-commerce site, Olivier has been working with Cdiscount since 2002, progressively adding systems and networks to help maintain the site–including scaling up the platform throughout the world. He started his career as a Database Consultant at BI (Business & Decision) before moving to Cdiscount as a Database Administrator. Olivier is now a Technical Architect, focusing on scalability and availability aspects, helping Cdiscount in its growth and evolution.

    Olivier will be travelling from Cdiscount's home base in Bordeaux to join us in London, where he will be speaking about the importance of Varnish Plus for Cdiscount. We are looking forward to hear all bout it!
