We are excited to announce that Thijs Feryn from Combell will speak at the Varnish Summit in Amsterdam, on November 5th!
Combell uses Varnish since 2009 and considers Varnish as a game-changing solution to improve the speed of sites and applications: devs love it, ops people love it, even sales loves it! Yet developers consider Varnish - and more specifically VCL - a sysadmin responsibility, while sysadmins often consider VCL code just to be application code and, as a consequence, a developer's task.
Thijs’ presentation entitled Varnish: where developers & sysadmins meet will explore success stories, failures and lessons learned about how to bring developers and sysadmins together to build better and faster applications.
Thijs Feryn is a technical evangelist at Combell, a Belgian webhosting company. His goal is to bring technology to the people and people to technology. He focuses on bridging the gap between code and infrastructure. Thijs is also involved in many open source communities and leads the PHPBenelux community. He speaks, listens, writes, codes, teaches, organizes and is, above all, “very excited to speak at the Varnish Summit this year!”
You can still register here to participate at this event and hear more from Thijs Feryn in Amsterdam.
